Terms of stay

Booking and payment

Your contract is with Residence Josefov s.r.o. (details under Contact). Prices are per night in Czech crowns for the unit you book. At booking you pay 50% of the price of the stay by card through our payment provider Stripe. The rest is charged automatically to the same card 7 days before arrival. If you book 7 days or less before arrival, you pay the full price at booking. If the rest cannot be charged, we will ask you to pay it another way before arrival.

Cancellation

You can cancel free of charge up to 30 days before arrival, and we refund everything you have paid. If you cancel less than 30 but at least 7 days before arrival, we keep 50% of the price of the stay. If you cancel less than 7 days before arrival, or do not arrive, the full price is due and nothing is refunded. Nights left unused when you leave early are not refunded. Refunds go back to the card you paid with. To cancel, write to us by email; we confirm the cancellation in writing.

House rules

Please be considerate of the house and the neighbours. Gatherings are fine as long as they stay quiet. Czech law sets night quiet hours from 22:00 to 6:00; please play no loud music then.

Damage and liability

Guests are liable for damage to the apartment and its contents caused during their stay, beyond normal wear. To cover it, we place a hold (not a charge) on the card used for the booking 3 days before departure, or before arrival for shorter stays: CZK 10,000 for the whole penthouse, CZK 5,000 for the lower floor and CZK 3,000 for the upstairs suite. If there is no damage, your bank releases the hold automatically, usually within a few days of departure. If there is damage, we describe it to you and charge the documented cost up to the amount held; any cost above it remains due. If the hold cannot be placed on the card, we may ask for the deposit another way before arrival.
